Plant Care Instruction

  • Plant

When's a good time to plant this plant or bulb? Any special planting instructions?

    May

It is best to plant outdoors in the summer months. Plant in full sun. Keep in well drained soil. Potted plants need filtered sun or some shade.

    Fertilize

When should you fertilize this plant? Which kind of fertilizer do you recommend? Should you use different fertilizers at different times of year?

    March

Fertilize yearly in the spring with a half strength formula recommended for blooming.

    Water

Is there a time to reduce or increase watering? Any special requirements? Things to avoid during certain times of the year?

    January

Plants are somewhat dormant and do not require much water. Allow soil to be completely dry between watering and should be given minimal water.

    June

During the summer months the soil should be soaked completely but allow to dry between waterings.

    November

Reduce water has the season changes and the days are shorter.
